Rabbi Jason Miller is an entrepreneur, educator and blogger
The Detroit Free Press called him “the most tech-savvy Jewish leader.” The Huffington Post and the JTA ranked him among the top Jewish Twitter users in the world. A social media expert, Rabbi Jason is a popular speaker and writer on technology and its global effect on the Jewish world. He writes the “Jewish Techs” blog, the monthly “Jews in the Digital Age” column for the Detroit Jewish News and is a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post, Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA), the Jewish Daily Forward, the Times of Israel, MyJewishLearning.com and Technorati.
Rabbi Jason Miller is the president of Access Technology, a computer tech support and social media marketing company based in Michigan. He won the 2012 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce and is one of the winners of a Jewish Influencer award from the National Jewish Outreach Program. Rabbi Jason has worked on college campuses with Hillel and has gained a reputation as a pied piper with Jewish teens and twentysomethings. He can talk about sports and movies just as easily as he can talk about Torah and Jewish law. Rabbi Jason is a frequent guest on the “Mojo in the Morning” show on Channel 9-5-5 in Detroit, Fox News, and the Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on CNN.
Trained as a kosher supervisor, Rabbi Jason is the founder and director of Kosher Michigan – a kosher certification agency. He has served on the boards of several national and local organizations including Camp Inc., the Jewish Outreach Institute, Michigan Jewish Sports Foundation, JARC, Friends of the Taubman Institute, Jewish Gay Network, Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit Family Circle, and Kadima. He is an alumnus of the Rabbis Without Borders fellowship through Clal (National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership) and the STAR Foundation’s Professional Education for Excellence in Rabbis fellowship. In October 2013 Rabbi Jason participated in The Conversation, an annual retreat of Jewish leaders convened by Gary Rosenblatt, editor of The Jewish Week.
An avid Detroit sports fan, Rabbi Jason lives in Metro Detroit with his wife and three children.
