Academy-award winner George Clooney will speak at the Save Darfur Rally to Stop Genocide in Washington, D.C. on April 30, which is co-sponsored by the American Jewish World Service. George Clooney and his father, Nick, just returned on Sunday from a fact-finding trip to the Darfur region. They now know from first-hand evidence how dire the situation in Darfur has become. Hundreds of thousands have been killed and nearly one-third of the population of Darfur has been displaced. And the world simply watches and waits.
