I am on the Personnel Committee at my synagogue, and I can tell you that we do not give the various benefits described in the Standards.  We would also not be receptive to people from outside of our own congregation telling us how to set our budget and compensate employees. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Whether there is a halachic basis for HK can be debated.  However, as Ross Perot said, the devil is in the details. The HK people have gone way off course.
